The project included improvements to the City of Madison’s existing wastewater collection system to provide adequate transport and storage during wet weather events. The work included construction of two (2) concrete wet weather storage facilities (750,000 gallons and 500,000 gallons) with automatic flushing/cleaning systems, three (3) new wet weather lift stations (4.6 MGD, 3.0 MGD, and 1.0 MGD), installation of 12” and 16” gravity relief sewers, installation of new 8”, 12”, and 14” dia. Force mains, and the replacement of a section of existing 12” diameter gravity sewer.
